[There's a low, eager moan that gets muffled into that kiss. He responds eagerly, desperate for more, for anything, especially when the spell starts to do its job. There's a needy shiver that goes through him as he turns his head, trying to coax Steve up for another kiss.]
Come here...
[He wants contact, he wants to be claimed-- it's so much easier to just get lost in the sensations if he's honest.]
[Surrendering to the feeling was just what Steve wanted to do. Steve could already feel the instincts rising in him, the desire to get Billy naked and hard. He wanted to rub all over the man, coat him in his scent. Oh god, the bliss of giving up that part of him that always held back!
Steve allowed his head to be pulled back up for a kiss, a purr rumbling in his throat as his tongue touched Billy's. His hands slid up the man's back under his shirt, pulling that warm body closer. He wasn't going to stay so gentle much longer.]
I see. I suppose I'm not too surprised to rank so low on your list considering.
[He took the box reflexively, surprised, but smiled. Steve held up and hand and stepped back into the suite, coming out with a box for Garrett too. He held it out with a grin, eyes flicking to the faint scar in the man's brow.
[Garrett followed Steve into the suite and took the box gladly, smiling brightly at the other man.]
I wouldn't say you rank low. The other people I've seen already were visits I knew wouldn't last very long. [It's just practical.] Nobody's unimportant today.
[A bit of a squishy sentiment, couched in the kind of smirk meant to make it sound like sarcasm.]
Open it.
[Truth be told, he honestly kind of liked the scar. Scars were badass and, when done right, downright sexy. He tried to sort of manage what kind of scars stuck, vain as he was, and the eyebrow scar was one he purposely let form. No magical healing.]
[He played back with the man, but his eyes were soft, and kept darting back to that scar. Damn. It was tiny and insignificant, in theory, but he'd done that. He had caused that pain and disfigurement. It made him feel so damn guilty . . .
Steve ducked his head but did as asked, slowly tearing the paper but keeping it mostly intact. Steve didn't get so many gifts he didn't fully appreciate every single one. When the box was finally open he stared in surprise and looked up with a grin.]
This is fantastic! Are you sure this is for me? Really?
[Garrett isn't grinning, but he is lit up with the warmth he always gets from moments like this. There really aren't enough excuses to give people gifts, in his opinion.]
Well, I'm pretty sure you're the only Steve Rogers here. And if you weren't, you're the only one I've had a drink with.
[He tilts his head, eyes bright and thrumming with energy.]
It's even a special kind of whiskey that can get metas drunk. You could be just like us.
Well, as far as I know I haven't run into myself lately.
[Although the idea of doing so bothered him less than it once would have. In fact, it might be damned useful if he could meet a future version of himself! Maybe he could figure out why everyone had such a hard time dealing with him!
That tilt of the head threw the little scar into sharp relief as the lights hit the man's face differently and Steve couldn't help himself. The joy drained away and he reached out, brushing a feathery fingertip over the little notch. His smile was watery when he spoke again, something welling up in him he really didn't understand.]
I thought you said you wouldn't scar.
apparently, thinking really hard about tagging isn't the same thing as actually tagging
[Unexpected as the gesture is, it doesn't strike him as especially surprising. Steve is a good man, and doesn't like the idea of leaving damage behind.]
I let it scar. No magical healing for this. I think it looks kind of sexy.
[Since Garrett didn't seem to mind the touch, Steve continued to stroke the little nick. It didn't make him feel better exactly, but it seemed to soothe something. Sort of. Steve just couldn't seem to stop.]
Well, it does look sexy, but you promised you heal. That's the only reason I risked causing you a real injury. I didn't want to hurt you since it wasn't you.
[ well, if Steve was going to touch him like that,, broad hand warm on his cheek and stroking his skin lightly, then Garrett really didn't mind. Speaking of sexy. ]
If you think this is bad, you've obviously never seen me naked.
[ Which seems obvious, since they've never had sex, but Garrett's tone implies that there'd been a decent chance of it. It matches the spirit's assertion of Garrett as a huge slut, and his self-admitted work at the club. (Truth be told, the spirit did some shit while he was possessed that he doesn't like to think about.) ]
[That little unless they can give informed consent sticks to Garrett's mind like a limpet, like a fine mist fogging his vision of the astonishingly attractive man before him. He isn't sure when this turned weirdly sensual, but he's decidedly into it- and the way that Steve, despite being six inches shorter, is somehow managing to take up even more space than his already large frame.]
Plenty. [Fuck, Steve wants to see his clothes off? Mouth suddenly dry, Garrett leans on the counter behind him, a little lost in the way it brings him down in height and lets Steve loom larger.] I have a lot of scars. Want to see them?
[He really shouldn't be thinking about sex, but sometimes it was just hard not to. Especially when someone looked at him like that. Someone who'd been injured at his hands. Didn't he owe it to Garrett to give the man anything he wanted?
It still irked him Garrett was taller, and when the man finally fell back a little it was a relief. If someone was going to tower over him, Steve wanted that person to be dominating him. He also wanted to be sure he could trust what would happen in that kind of situation, which wasn't what he currently had on his hands. He smiled slowly, fingers still stroking that scar.]
Why Garrett, that sounds like a proposition. I thought you had more gifts to deliver?
[Being huge has its benefits, but sometimes it's so much better to look up at someone. Like how, with how he kept his gaze on Steve, so very incredibly aware of every tiny movement of Steve's fingers.]
You're right, I should go- there are plenty of people I have to give presents to.
[There was, for the record, only one actual gift left in his bag. Despite his talk about multiple people getting presents.]
Must you? Because my day is seriously open. Hours and hours of free time. And we do have this bottle of nice liquor now. I bet we could work up a real sweat to make it useful . . .
[He wasn't demanding, just offering. Teasing a little. And still stroking that nick. It bothered the fuck out of him he'd hurt someone enough to cause a scar, even if Garrett said he liked it. He'd really, honestly thought Garrett would heal! And as sexy as it was, it still bothered the shit out of him.
Steve leaned in slowly, giving the an plenty of time to pull away, despite the way he had Garrett almost pinned in place.]
Do you really have to go so soon?
text | @angelpants (feel free to set whenever's easiest)
[It may take her a minute, but she never forgets an offer for information. After she settles back in and her punishments have run their course, she sends off a quick text to Steve to check in.]
Hope everything is okay with you. Did you get hit hard with Barbas?
[Well, at least he was able to keep the fiction that she wasn't suffering unduly. Steve, on the hand, was doing horribly. If it wasn't for the starvation he'd probably be rather good, but as things were, he was barely managing. Not that ne was letting many people know how bad it was.
But Fitz? What did she mean?]
Fitz? No, but I never have spent much time with him. What di you mean? Is his room empty?
[Oh that was nice! Steve closed his eyes, leaning into the kiss. One hand still stroked that scar as his other rested on a hip, fingers digging into the muscle there. He made a quiet sound of happiness, tilting his head and pushing in closer, wanting more.]
No, if he is with Barbas I don't want to make things worse. Just, if you see him, let me know?
I actually wanted to know if now was a good time to double back about my research? If it's not, that's totally cool, I just didn't want it to fall to the wayside.
